BELIEF SYSTEM
Using the camera obscura as both a metaphor and a method, the project reframes personal belief as a perceptual filter—an invisible system that shapes how we interpret time, space, and existence.
Through writing, system mapping, visual experiments, and interactive prototypes, the project proposes a new way of understanding “belief” not as ideology, but as a dynamic bridge between one’s internal universe and the external reality.

The book’s packaging is designed as a physical interpretation of the camera obscura. The outer case is handcrafted from laser-cut wood, forming a minimal box structure that mirrors the experience of looking into an optical device—revealing meaning only when opened.
The book is made with traditional xuan paper, giving the content a light, translucent material quality. All text is produced through handwritten Chinese and typewritten English, creating the feeling of a personal archival document.
The entire object is fully handmade, turning the reading experience into a tactile, intimate exploration of perception.
